How Do I keep The Water Clean?
Always keep the lid on when not in use, to help prevent any debris falling in!
We recommend changing the water once per week without any additives.
When you drain the water from your Pod, to extend the life of your next fill, we recommend washing the inside surfaces with warm soapy water.
How Easy Is It to Fill Up?
Just use a hose, bucket, or container with room temperature water. Once it's around 70% full, you're all set for your initial dip! For an extra chill, add ice or ice packs later. Thanks to the top-notch insulation on our Pods—covering the top, bottom, and sides—the water temperature is maintained longer than anticipated!
How Does It Keep The Water Cold?
The Recovery Pod features integrated thermal insulated TPE layers and a Thermo Lid, extending the duration at a specific temperature. Optimal use involves placing your Pod outdoors, preferably under shade, to enhance passive overnight cooling. To enhance the experience, add ice or ice blocks as desired.
How Portable Is It ?
The Pod conveniently collapses into a compact briefcase-shaped box, equipped with a carry handle, measuring 68 x 36 x 11 cm, and weighing just 3.5 kg in total.
Does it fit tall people?
Crafted with versatility in mind, our bath accommodates individuals up to 2.1m tall (6' 7"), prioritizing efficiency by minimizing water and cooling demands.
Can I add Bromine?
Certainly! For prolonged water longevity, incorporating Bromine tablets or powder is an excellent option, extending usability for up to 1 month. Bromine, known for being more skin-friendly, outlasts Chlorine in cold water, requiring minimal amounts for optimal effectiveness.
How Much Ice Would I need ?
The simple answer to this is to aim to get the water below 15 degrees celsiusas that is where the benefits are.In most countries, cold tap water is around 10-12 degrees celsius so it is cold enough to be effective.Adding ice to this will further reduce the temperature by 3-7 degrees depending on how much ice you use.
Does It Really Burn Calories Absuluetly?
On average, sitting in cold water therapy for 5 minutes can burn up to 250 calories. This is due to the body having to use fat stores in the body to maintain the bodys core temperature.
